NATIONAL TOURNAMENT DATES AND SITES

Class D Bismarck, North Dakota August 28 – September 1
Class C Moorhead, Minnesota August 28 – September 1

RULES

  1. Entries must be received by Wednesday, noon the week of the tournament.
  2. Only cash and money orders will be accepted.
  3. All tournaments will be progressive money tournaments. All money paid out after each game.
  4. All tournaments are NIT’s.
  5. Any team that qualifies to go to Nationals MUST play in the Metro.
  6. In addition to the money you win in each tournament, you will receive points. The top 2 C and D class team point leaders will receive additional prize money at the end of the year.

ROSTER RULES

  1. Players may only play with one team during any tournament schedule. Player’s whose team is not going to play in the Metro, may be picked up by teams that are.
  2. You may turn in only one roster. Rosters must be turned in prior to playing in your first qualifier. NOTE: This roster can not be altered in any way until the Metro. At this time you may add up to 3 players.
  3. Once a player plays in a qualifier, he is frozen on that team until Metro.

CLASSIFICATIONS

  1. All teams can request to be classified.
  2. Send a letter to: Arlington Heights Park District, Attn: Brien – ASA, 410 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights IL 60004.
  3. Anyone not requesting a certain classification, will automatically be classified by the ASA Classification Committee.

AWARDING OF POINTS

  1. 2 points for entering a tournament.
  2. 2 points for each win in the loser’s bracket.
  3. 5 points for each win in the winner’s bracket
  4. 5 points for each 3rd place finish.
  5. 7 points for each 2nd place finish.
  6. 10 points for each 1st place finish.
  7. Any D classified team that plays in a C tournament receives double points for that tournament.
  8. Points transform to MONEY! Top point winner will receive $3 for every point earned. Second (2nd) place will receive $2 per point.
  9. All point money will be paid after the Metro.
  10. Metro will be a double point tournament.
